New Partnership – ivWatch

ivWatch was founded with one goal – to help clinicians provide the highest quality of care to every patient by detecting peripheral IV (PIV) infiltrations and extravasations at their earliest stage, when patient harm is highly preventable. Our non-invasive technology continuously monitors your patient’s IV status using advanced optics to notify you in real-time to the tissue changes that indicate a potential infiltration. ivWatch is here to help clinicians deliver optimal outcomes in vascular therapy.

ivWatch offers Real-Time IV Monitoring so your team can:

Reduce Negative Patient Events

Every infiltration is a medicine dosing error that can lead to complications. ivWatch’s advanced signal processing can detect infiltrations in as little as 0.2 mL of IV fluid, with an average detection volume between 2 and 3 mL—often well before it’s visible to the human eye.

Improve Response Times

The ivWatch Monitoring system can detect infiltrations up to 15 hours before the clinician.3 The system’s visible and audible notifications provide immediate notification, allowing the clinician to make a decision and respond to infiltrations early, in light of the multitude of other tasks they must manage.

Enhance Workflow Efficiency

Clinicians can digitally document an IV status during routine patient assessments—ensuring seamless transition and patient information sharing between shifts. The historical IV log can also be captured into an EMR system.

Prioritize Patient Intervention

With high device reliability1,2 and low false notification frequency4, clinicians can trust ivWatch’s notifications. They can focus on higher priority needs knowing that they will only be notified when a possible infiltration has occurred.

Decrease Liability

Every infiltration is a potential liability to both clinicians and the facility. The ivWatch Patient Monitoring System may help manage and mitigate liability concerns while reducing the incidence of patient harm.

Overcome Communication Barriers

ivWatch is constantly monitoring peripheral IV status throughout every stage of a patient’s stay. No matter the patient’s age or state, the monitor can speak for them, even when they’re not able to speak for themselves.

KroniKare is an AI-based assessment and management technology for chronic wound care. The first step in using KroniKare is to assess a patient’s chronic wound using the scanning device. This wound is then cross analyzed against more than 15 years of data that has been integrated within the AI server. Within 30 seconds, a report is generated with a detailed assessment on the wound, allowing healthcare practitioners and patients to make quicker decisions about the best care and treatment needed.

KroniKare Wound Scanner is an amalgamation of FOUR technologies that deliver state-of-the-art medical technology.

Scanning Device

1. KroniKare’s scanning device is a portable multi-spectral scanner that allows quick scanning of a patient’s chronic wound. All analysis and AI processing of the chronic wound data is done on-device.

2. Thanks to this convenient and non-invasive technology, chronic wound in patients can be assessed 30 times faster than traditional scans and complicated wounds can be detected easier as well.

3. Patients can now get their wounds scanned and assessed by junior healthcare practitioners too. This state-of-the-art KroniKare wound scanner can capture wounds in UV, visible light and thermal images.

Artificial Intelligence

1.  A deep on-server AI analysis is carried out for each wound scanned through the KroniKare scanning device. This server has been fed with data from over 15 years of chronic wound support and can cross-check the scanned wound against existing information under a minute.

2. The AI-server is also continuously developing, as the technology also automatically stores information that is new and manually input by nurses for special wound cases.

Integrated Dashboard

The KroniKare web dashboard is automatically generated once the chronic wound has been scanned and assessed by the intelligent technology. Images captured can be either from the wound or the limbs surrounding the area of impact. The report displays information that is generated by the AI technology as well as data that has been manually keyed in by nurses or on-duty healthcare practitioners.

Cloud Technology

1. Thanks to this convenient and non-invasive technology, a patient’s chronic wound can be assessed 30 times faster than traditional scans and complicated wounds can be detected easier as well.

2. The AI-server is also continuously developing, as the technology also automatically stores information that is new and manually keyed in by nurses for special wound cases.

Sahara Healthcare City is a significant new project that is currently under construction. It is an adjacent to Sahara Centre which is located right on the border between Sharjah and Dubai. The surrounding area of Sahara Centre is also well serviced with several residential, commercial, healthcare, and educational facilities. This unique location will polarize patients from both Emirates and enable healthcare providers to expand their coverage.

Due for completion in Q4 2020, Sahara Healthcare City aims to become the UAE’s first medical destination by providing several health services such as medical and surgical treatments, lab, specialty clinics, hospital and even educational. Served by professionalism, SHCC aims to be the medical/healthcare trademark for patients of the UAE and neighboring countries.

Why Invest in Sahara Healthcare City?

1. Strong Market Potential

A market size estimated to reach AED 5.6 billion by 2020, and 9.3% market size growth rate estimated between 2012 and 2018.

2. Growing Demand
Growing demand for highly specialized services, coupled with an aging population, mandatory healthcare insurance, a steady rise in GDP per capita, and a prevalence of lifestyle diseases.

3. Lack of Centralized Medical Facilities
There are currently no centers of excellence or specialized medical centers in Sharjah; therefore, opportunities exist for highly specialized facilities in the fields of oncology, pediatrics, and diabetes.
The medical facilities market in Sharjah is under-served and steadily growing, with opportunities available for investment in this up-and-coming sector.

4. Adjacent to Sahara Center
Sahara Healthcare City gains access from the mall as well as from the new residential towers. Its location has the following benefits:
• Strategic location on the border of Sharjah and Dubai
• Access to the Northern Emirates
• Close to Dubai and Sharjah airports
